Digital technology is an important strand of Arts Council England’s strategy for the cultural sector, and something that we believe all museums can engage with.
SHARE Museums East see digital technology as a toolkit that museums can use to deliver their goals, rather than a goal in itself. Our approach is to “unpack the toolkit”, encouraging and supporting museums to consider how they might use digital tools to enhance their organisations performance, from collections management to reaching new audiences.
For a more in-depth look at our approach, take a look at this blog post on digital ideas from Natasha Hutcheson, former Regional Museum Development Manager with SHARE Museums East.
