SHARE Museums East supports museums in engaging and supporting the learning of children and young people through various programmes.
We work in collaboration with the Norfolk and Norwich Festival and the Royal Opera House Bridge organisations to facilitate excellent quality access to museum experiences for all children and young people across the region.
We encourage museums to consult and work with children and young people as co-producers. This strand of SHARE Museums East’s work is co-ordinated by [email protected], Museum Development Project Officer.
Kathy also co-ordinates the Regional Learning Network – find out more about the network on our Networks page.
We offer training for those working with children and young people through our training calendar, including sessions on preparing for the new National Curriculum, WW1 and Family Learning.
In addition to training, SHARE Museums East provides support for museums working with children and young people via project cohorts, including:
- Takeover Day cohort. Working with Kids in Museums we supporting a group of museums to prepare for Takeover Day
- A level Conference cohort. Building on a successful Norfolk Museums Service project, supporting a group of museums to offer similar conferences to local A level students.
