Do you create or help with displays for a small museum with limited resources?
If so, then this could be the course for you!
Aimed at anybody who is involved in the creation of exhibitions and displays for a small museum with limited resources, this workshop offers something different. It will not turn you into an exhibition designer overnight but it will help you to ‘Think Outside The Box’. You will be shown how you can produce displays with limited resources.
The staff of the Epping Forest District Museum have a wealth of experience and have produced more than 255 exhibitions and displays over the last 30 years.
The exhibition team, led by Andy Hall, are always looking to introduce low cost, innovative ideas into their displays. On this workshop, Andy will share his expertise and experiences with you.
The aim is to keep things course simple. All you need to bring with you is your thinking cap and a display problem you have encountered.
Participants will:
- explore some of the innovative ways in which the Epping team have tackled their display issues
- think through how these can be applied to display in their own museums
- have ample opportunity to share the problems and solutions of creating exhibitions on a small budget
Morning refreshments will be available, but please make your own arrangements for lunch.
