Join us for a Fenland Museums Partnership event at Lynn Museum focused on new education opportunities for museums in our region. This event will include training and discussion sessions on museum education, a look at museum education networks and a chance to get together with other museums in the Fenland area to share ideas and exchange information and current opportunities
Artsmark: Learn more about ‘Artsmark’, the Arts Council England accredited, creative quality standard for schools. It provides a clear framework for teachers to plan, develop and evaluate arts, culture and creativity across the curriculum. Learn more about how your museum can support schools through this and help them to achieve their silver, gold or platinum awards. Artsmark supports the existing ‘Arts Award’ which recognises the creative development of individual young people, learn more about them here: http://www.artsmark.org.uk/
Trails: Learn more about the role of trails within museums, how to plan and deliver exciting & engaging trails.
Education Networks: We’ll be exploring the education networks in our region & find out more about how these networks can support you & your museum
Learn and Share: Learn from other Fenland museums about their new educational programs, activities and events. You are also encouraged to share a short 5 minute update on new projects or updates at your museum too! Whether this is a new school session, loan box idea or an in-gallery activity, please contact [email protected] if you’d like to take one of these slots
Leaflet exchange: Please bring along a supply of your leaflets if you would like to exchange with others.
As usual, we will discuss topics the network might like to look at next and activities it wants to undertake.
There will be refreshments on arrival and lunch will be provided.
