The deadline for the collections review and rationalisation grant has been extended so we there’s still time to apply for help getting started with a collections review or rationalisation project. Grants of up to £1000 to support this work are available from SHARE Museums East for project delivery between mid November 2015 and March 2016.

Applications are welcomed from Accredited museums, and those working towards Accreditation in the East of England.

Undertaking a review of your collections can be a daunting task. This training and grant opportunity is aimed at all sizes of museum who:

• are considering a review or rationalisation project
• would like to know the local, regional, national or international significance of their own collections or part thereof
• want to use an external expert to review a collection
• are looking to carry out an audit preparatory to your review
• need to focus scarce resources on key collections
• are planning a store move or similar change that requires collections review support
